Promoting Your Weblog To Important Feed and Blog Directories

Now that you have some original content posted on your blog, it´s time to submit your webblog´s homepage and your blog´s syndication feed to a couple of quality directories. This way, visitors and search engine spiders will find their way to your blog, you´ll get traffic and your website becomes indexed in the major search engines fast.

Step 1: Submitting Your Blog´s Feed URL

Submitting your feed is pretty easy. Visit each directory in the list below and paste your feed´s URL in the appropriate field and hit the submit button. Some require additional information, but this is explained in the comments beside each link.

Chordata.info	this one is great, just submit your feed´s URL and their spider will run across your blog and list all the current blog entries with a link back to each - Don´t miss this and be sure you have some quality content on your blog as your submission will be reviewed by a human being ! You need to select a category first, then click on the link "suggest a feed for this category".
Syndic8.com	Paste your feed into the field "URL 0". After clicking the suggest button you will see a preview of your blog´s content. Check the little checkbox at the bottom and then hit the "suggest checked feeds" button.
Blogdigger.com	Just paste your feed´s URL in the text field and click "suggest".
Anse.de/rdfticker/	Some more additional information to fill out. Your blog´s title, a description and the language ( use "en" for english ).
Pubsub.com	Add your feed at "Option #1 - Add a single feed"
Weblogalot.com	Enter your feed in "1. Manually".
Bloogz.com	Enter your feed in the URL field and click the Invia button. No need to fill out the comments field.
Easyrss.com	First click on the "Add your feed" link and then you can enter your feed in the submission field.
Feed-Directory.com	In addition to providing your feed URL you need to select a category from a drop down list.
Rocketinfo.com	Also enter a title and a description for your feed. Need to provide your contact information (Name and E-mail address)

Step 2: Submitting Your Blog´s Homepage

Now you will submit the index page of your webblog to the blog directories below. The first 5 require that you place a link back to them, so in order to speed up the process I´ve included the html link code below. Simply copy it from here and paste it to the sidebar template of your WordPress theme like shown in the video below ( opens in a new browser window ).

Note: the HTML code also includes a link back to the give-away page for this video tutorial. Bloguniverse.com	backlink required - may take weeks to get your blog listed. I would pay the small one-time fee (2 $) for the express review. Read instructions on the page.
Blogarama.com	backlink required. Click the "Add Yours Now" link and then fill out the form completely.
Popdex.com	backlink required. Only blog name, url and language to fill out. Don´t forget to check the "Fast Track" checkbox before hitting the submit button.
Blogsearchengine.com	backlink required. Also, you should provide an in-depth description about your blog. ( see instructions over there ).
Blogwise.com	3 steps submission process. In the "keywords" field, separate single keywords by commata, just like you would do in the META keywords tags of your webpages.
Bloghop.com	They ask for a good deal of information about you and your blog.
Blogdex.net	Fast. Only asks for your blog´s URL and your contact email.
Fastbuzz.com	Need to enter your blog´s URL only.
Daypop.com	Read the instructions ! In the "URL" field you need to enter the URL of your blog´s homepage followed by a space, followed by the word "weblog".
Globeofblogs.com	Click the "Register Your Blog" link in the upper left corner ( pops up a new window ). There´s a lot of information you need to enter and a huge list of categories to select from.
Contentsmatter.com	create user account first - login required for blog submission
Memigo.com	create user account first - login required for blog submission
Blogstreet.com	backlink required - the html code for this link is not included above as it contains individual tracking code. After submitting your blog you can choose from two different icons. Copy the html code for the item you selected from the text box and paste it into the sidebar template of your Wordpress theme, right below the links to the other directories.
